How do I register
a domain name? A domain
name (Web address) is more than your Internet address,
it's your Internet identity, your online brand.
It puts you on the map of today's online world,
opening you to literally millions of users worldwide.
When you register a domain name (Web address), you'll
join millions of others who are reaping the rewards
of being online.
|
How do I register
a domain name? Registering
your domain name is an easy process. To begin, type
you prefered domain name on our home page to ensure
that is currently available. Once you have verified
the domain name availability, we'll take care of
the rest. For a low fee of $14.99US per year, we
will register your domain name and handle any modifications
on your already existing domain (i.e.: transferring
your existing domain to our servers).

|
What is a domain
name ? Practically speaking,
your domain name (Web address) is the core of your
Internet identity, your online brand. Your customers
will remember this name and use it to find your
Web site, your products or your services. And since
no two parties can ever hold the same domain name
(Web address) simultaneously, your Internet identity
is totally unique.
Technically, a domain name (Web address) is an addressing
construct used for identifying and locating computers
on the Internet. While computers use Internet Protocol
(IP) numbers to locate each other on the Internet,
people find them hard to remember. Therefore, domain
names (Web addresses) were developed to permit the
use of easily remembered words and phrases to identify
Internet addresses.
For example, the domain name CreativeSparks.com
represents Creative Sparks Web sites. When you type
CreativeSparks.com into a Web browser or send e-mail
to someone at CreativeSparks.com, the Domain Name
System (DNS) translates CreativeSparks.com into
the IP numbers used by the Internet and connects
you to us.
|
How can I determine
if the domain name I want is available ?
It's easy to find out if the
name you want is available. Simply enter your desired
domain name (Web address) in the search box on our
home page or in the Hosting and Domain section.
We'll tell you if the name you want is available,
and we'll give you some alternatives based on your
first choice.
|
What are all
of these additional extensions? An
extension, or Top Level Domain (TLD), is the highest-level
category of Internet names. The additional extension
choices you see here include all unrestricted global
extensions, as well as unrestricted extensions that
are available from specific countries. The extensions
.com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info are examples of
global Top Level Domains (gTLD). The extensions
.uk (from Great Britain), and .ca (from Canada)
are examples of country code Top Level Domains (ccTLD).

|
How can I transfer
my existing registration to your company?
Simply specify that you are
requesting a domain name transfer, not a new one.
Please note that you should keep your existing provider
until the registrar has completed the transfer process. The
transfer can from 3 to 5 days.

|
How do I point
my domain name to another domain and/or my IP address?
We will redirect your additional
domains, which are hosted or parked on our servers,
to point to your main domain for a low fee of $16.99US/year.
For example, if you own yourcompany.com, .net, and
.org, but your main site is yourcompany.com, we
can point your .net and .org domain names to yourcompany.com.
Your customers can go to any of these domains and
will be redirected to your main site.

|
How do I change
the nameservers on my domain name?
Most registrars give you a username and password
so you can go to their site, login and make the
necessary DNS modifications (change hosts).

|
How do I check
my email? You can access
your email account by using Microsoft Outlook, Eudora
or Netscape Mail provided you have configured the
program to download incoming mail (POP, IMAP) and
send outgoing mail (SMTP).
|
How do
I access my email when I'm away?

their mail from any location. This enables work-at-home,
overtime and traveling employees
to be more productive.
:: Autoresponders - Gives you the ability to notify
correspondents of short-term absences. Improve
customer service and manage expectations of your
communications partners.
:: SPAM-filtering - Block unsolicited bulk email
from your company that ties up servers,
degrades your system performance and distracts employees
with redundant or offensive
messages.
:: Catch Alls -Set up email addresses that direct
multiple mail addresses to a single address.Great
for setting up email response queues that can centrally
gather sales@, marketing@and

What
is supported by the JSP service?

Java Server Pages. These are files which have the
suffix ".jsp" for their file name.

|
What
is a JSP file? A
JSP file is used as a method for creating dynamically
generated web content. In other words, you can display
information or responses on your website based on
information input by people viewing your website.
This functionality is similar to using ColdFusion,
PHP or ASP.
|

your “.jsp” files from anywhere within
your /public/directory.
|
Where
should I upload Java class files (and associated
resources)? You
can upload Java class files and associated resources
into /public/WEB-INF/classes/ directory. This directory
contains any Java class files (and associated resources)
required for the application, including non-servlet
classes that are not combined into JAR files. If
the classes are organized into Java packages, the
end user must reflect this in the directory hierarchy
under /WEB-INF/classes/.
For example, a Java class named com.mycompany.mypackage.MyServlet
would need to be stored in a file named /WEB-INF/classes/com/mycompany/mypackage/
MyServlet.class.

Where
should I upload JAR files?
You can upload JAR files into
/WEB-INF/lib/. This directory holds JAR files that

the /WEB-INF/classes/ directory, as well as all
classes in JAR files found in the /WEB-INF/lib/
directory, are made visible to other classes within
the particular web application. If you include all
of the required library classes in one of these
locations, you must check licenses for redistribution
rights for any third party libraries you utilizes.
Please allow two business days for JSP support to
