Answers

FAQ Will my logo be unique or is it generic?
All our logos are unique. Every design is made from scratch using the information that you provide on the Customer Information Sheet and our creativity. Many logo design companies on the Internet offer extremely low prices. BE CAREFUL, you get what you pay for. There are many programs available that allow you to pick a pre-designed logo and type in your information. It may be less expensive but you are sharing your corporate identity with hundreds of others and more importantly you may find it difficult or impossible to create a Trademark.

FAQ Why do we not have access to your rates online?
We want to grab your attention through our design capabilities not because we are the cheapest site you visited. Many of the down and dirty, low ball rates that are published on the Internet are generic designs which are hard or next to impossible to Trademark or through a factory assembly line. Most quality design firms will encourage you to browse their site and ask questions. We want your business…and more importantly…you need a design firm that is going to create a unique identity for your company. Many of these fly by night assembly lines don't care. They want volume. We find that clients seeking the lowest rate on the Internet do not want to wait a millisecond for our email to arrive. They want to get the lowest price, right now this instant. We like to target an entrepreneur who understands the importance of their corporate identity. The ironic part is the person seeking the cheapest rate usually ends up spending more for a mediocre logo and usually ends up unsatisfied in the long run. Our rates are actually very competitive much less then traditional logo design companies and are quite attractive side by side our true competitors.

FAQ What are the main differences between the rate packages you offer?
The primary difference is time. Our packages range from less then 24 hours to a 2 week turn around time for your preliminary drawings to arrive. The packages also offer a variety of services from free custom imprinted CD's to free overnight delivery. Some of the more comprehensive packages offer extra preliminary drawings and revisions with a variety of bonus formats.

FAQ Would you please give a brief description of the formats that you offer?
We have bundled the most common formats used in today's graphic industry. We want to give you a better understanding of what you are receiving. If you require a file format not on the list please contact us and we will try to find it for you and convert the file free of charge:

:: swf - This is a Flash Format used with multimedia or animated presentations.

:: Other Formats available at minimal charge: CreativeSparks.com can also supply SwF files(flat color-matched Flash format for rapid import into Macromedia Flash presentations), fully layered .fla files (layered, separated and labeled color-matched Flash source files that can be quickly animated using Macromedia Flash - All Flash formats are vector based and scalable for sizing on the web. CreativeSparks.com can also create Flash intro animations that can be used on web sites ands as screensavers.), Animated .gif files for non plug-in animation of the web. Charges for these formats depend on the complexity of your logo (contact our customer service department upon completion of your work for a detailed quote).

::
Pixel Based or Rastor Image Formats
Rastor image format breaks the image into a series of pixels, small coloured dots.
.jpg (300 dpi) This is a high resolution pixel based file which can be imported and converted in most of today's desktop publishing software. The file can also be used in many of the photo editing software programs like Adobe Elements or Photoshop. The file can be resized.

.gif (72 dpi 216 index color). This is a low resolution format which is used on the web. You can not manipulate the size but it creates true colour accuracy and is great for quick downloads.

.tif This is a pixel based format which is typically great for print but not suitable for the web. It can be any resolution.

.bmp The bitmap format is pixel based. A simple series of coloured dots. Generally they are good images but not exceptional compared to the other formats we produce. They usually are a larger file due to their limited compression capabilities.
If you require a format not provided on this list please email us at support@creativesparks.com or contact your assigned graphic artist.

:: Vector Image Formats
Vector Image formats are usually specialized formats designed for specific programs. Adobe Illustrator - .ai or CorelDraw - .cdr. They are vectors of data which are saved in mathematical formats rather than pixels or bits of colour. One of the main advantages to using this format is scalability. You can increase or decrease the image without jagged edges.

.cdr This is a vector file format used by CorelDraw.

.ai This is a vector file format used by Adobe Illustrator.

.eps The artwork is produced in Encapsulated Postscript format. It is vector based and can be read by both PC and Mac software. This format is scalable. You can resize the image. This format is used primarily in the print reproduction industry.
If you require a format not provided on this list please email us at support@creativesparks.com or contact your assigned graphic artist.

:: Other File Formats
We also offer .swf and .fla formats used for multimedia presentations and animation. If you would like more information about our multimedia services please visit our Gallery or email us at sales@creativesparks.com

FAQ Do you have any additional charges?
We try to give our clients a flat rate. The majority of the orders we produce never generate extra charges. The small amount that do reflect extra charges are usually client driven. Some of our clients would like an extra CD or possibly an extra preliminary drawing. For small items ie: a client likes the logo but wants to change the colour, we will revise the logo for free. If the client requires a totally new look, then we would notify them of the extra charge. All charges are outlines in our rate sheet. There are no hidden set up fees or film charges or any other fees out of the ordinary.

FAQWhat information will help create my logo on the Customer Information Sheet?

The possibilities are endless when it comes to the combination of fonts, colors , graphics. It is important that we understand your company so that we can create an effective identity for your business. We don't require pages of information maybe just an a sentence or two. It is important to communicate any color imagery or color combination that you my visualize. You will receive your color recommendations with a couple of other versions. If you don't have any colors in mind, don't worry - that's part of our job. Another important point is style of logo.
  :: Font - let our design team us their creative talents by using unique fonts.
  :: Graphic - as abstract or conservative as you would like your company to be
     portrayed.
  :: Illustrative - do you want a more complex logo - an image of your     company or photo -& please keep in mind that some illustrative based logos are more expensive to print since they usually have more color.
  :: Blend - you may want to have a mixture using any combination above.

If you're not sure we will provide you with 3 - 5 preliminary logos to choose from depending on the package you purchase or visit our Gallery.
